Material EC500 M Direct Investment Casting or widely known yellow photopolymer is meant to 3D printing of small, highly detailed objects for which the strength and heat resistance are not an essential requirements.
Fast casting is the best way of using the final models made from yellow photopolymer. Material can be cast just like normal investment casting wax, that has a large variety of methods. Yellow photopolymer objects are created using patented technology DLP — Digital Light Processing.
Digital Light Processing is a process where a projector is used to cure photopolymer resin. In comparison to SLA where a UV laser cures the material by gradually going the length of the layer, a safelight LED in DLP forms the whole layer at once.
